The title of this online journal is OKAERI KUDAMATSU. Kudamatsu is a town in Yamaguchi, Japan that I currently call home. The word OKAERI in Japanese means something similar to WELCOME BACK or WELCOME HOME, usually said in response to TADAIMA, which means I AM BACK. I understand that OKAERI KUDAMATSU is not presented in perfect Japanese, but I like to remind myself that expressing yourself in a foreign language is never easy, so mistakes are going to happen and are a welcoming sign.

This page will act as a sort of an online document for my time in Japan. I plan to use it rather openly, so no set format or updating schedule. There will be lots of pictures, video, and thoughts. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web.
